Having recently purchased the excellent Marvel Legends Avengers Anniversary Black Widow, I figure that things going forward would be better than before.
Nope, I was pretty wrong with that.
The Infinity Saga series I guess brings some of the greatest hits of MCU characters from Phase 1 - 3, which includes Winter Soldier Black Widow, which admittedly is where she was the most involved in the movie.
Retailing for $25 US, it's not more expensive than the typical figure. Head sculpts are... OK. They're not mind blowing but for Hasbro Legends they're adequate. Faces have a decent semblance to Scarlett Johansson,
Proportions are... whack. Abdomen section is ridiculously thin, and the feet are tiny. Overall, there are also some significant balance issues for the figure.
The soft knee joints seems to have made a comeback on this figure.
The second head is kind of a cheat as Widow only had the long hair style in Winter Solider, but I suppose the inability to turn heads would have annoyed people greatly.
Content wise, it doesn't compare to the anniversary figure. Now, that does cost a few bucks extra so I'm willing to forgive and forget.
But what I don't get is why the body didn't carry over. there's no waist joint, but anniversary had ab crunch and butterfly shoulders, as well as a fully tilt capable head. The Infinity Saga figure is a stiff board in comparison.
Holsters aren't working, meaning that the guns are moulded in their permanently, which is a disappointment, and things looks weird when Widow is using her guns... or she's packing spares. The hip straps are also disconnected from the belt, but this is understandable due to range of motion.
Speaking of guns, one of the things you can count on is a pair of trigger hands. Well, they're here as well, but somehow Hasbro found a way to annoy me even here, as the trigger hands can't actually hold the guns the figure comes with.
The Widow Bites effects are OK.
